The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:

Carsten Metelmann

2. Website Provision and Hosting

We use hosting services provided by united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg, Germany. IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, is engaged as a subprocessor.

We have entered into a data processing agreement with united-domains. Under the contractual arrangements, the processing covered by that agreement takes place within the European Union.

When you visit our website, the following access data is processed and stored in server logs:

  • Domain accessed;
  • IP address;
  • Date and time of access;
  • HTTP request method;
  • Where applicable, the referrer URL, meaning the address of the previously visited website;
  • Identifier and/or version information of the client accessing the website, such as the browser.

This processing serves to make our website technically available and to detect and prevent attacks and other misuse.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest is to provide our website securely and reliably.

According to the hosting provider, these access logs, including their backup copies, are deleted after 14 days. The provider has also specified a retention period of 14 days for backups created during normal hosting operations. This period does not mean that the underlying emails or other live data is deleted after 14 days.

3. Contact by Email or Phone

If you contact us by email or phone, we process the personal data you provide. This includes, in particular, your name, contact details, company affiliation where applicable, and the content of your inquiry.

This processing serves to answer your inquiry and, where applicable, to prepare for or carry out a business relationship.

Where your inquiry concerns entering into or performing a contract with you, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other business inquiries, particularly those made by a company’s contact persons, processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to handle business inquiries and communicate with prospective customers and business partners.

Our email mailbox is hosted by united-domains. Emails are also processed locally using Microsoft Outlook; messages are not synchronized with the Microsoft Cloud.

We delete the data once your inquiry has been fully dealt with and there is no further need to retain it. Where statutory retention obligations apply, or data is needed to establish or defend legal claims, we retain the necessary data for the relevant period and restrict its processing to those purposes.

Providing your data is voluntary. Without suitable contact details and the information necessary to handle your inquiry, we may be unable to respond.

4. Contact Form

We use WPForms Lite for our contact form. We process the following information you enter:

  • Name;
  • Company;
  • Email address;
  • Subject;
  • Message.

Required fields are marked in the form. Any additional information is voluntary.

Form submissions are sent to us by email. They are not stored as form entries in WordPress or backed up using WPForms Lite Connect.

To protect against automated submissions, we use WPForms’ built-in spam protection and require a minimum of two seconds to elapse before submission. We do not use ActiveLayer or external CAPTCHA services.

Your inquiry is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, as explained under “Contact by Email or Phone.” Processing to protect against automated or abusive inquiries is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to keep the form functioning properly and prevent abusive submissions.

The retention criteria set out under “Contact by Email or Phone” apply to inquiries submitted through the form.

5. Fonts and Audience Measurement

The Hind font used on this website is served locally through our hosting. Loading this font does not require a connection to an external font provider.

We currently do not use audience measurement tools, advertising trackers, or embedded maps, videos, or social media feeds.

6. WeChat Link

Our contact page provides a QR code and/or link to our WeChat contact. This is a simple reference, rather than an embedded WeChat module. Merely displaying the locally embedded QR code does not establish a connection to WeChat.

If you open the link or scan the QR code using an appropriate application, that application may establish a connection to WeChat. Processing that takes place there is governed by the relevant provider’s privacy information.

If you contact us through WeChat, we use the contact details and messages you provide to handle your inquiry. The explanations under “Contact by Email or Phone” apply to the purpose, legal basis, and our retention of the correspondence. The platform provider’s own processing is governed by its terms.

Alternatively, you can contact us by email, phone, or through the contact form.

7. Your Rights

Subject to the applicable legal requirements, you have the following rights:

  • Access to your personal data under Article 15 GDPR;
  • Rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data under Article 16 GDPR;
  • Erasure of your data under Article 17 GDPR;
  • Restriction of processing under Article 18 GDPR;
  • Data portability under Article 20 GDPR.

Right to Object

Where we process your data on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to that processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.

We will then stop processing the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

You may object at any time to processing for direct marketing purposes.

Withdrawal of Consent

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.

To exercise your rights, you can contact carsten@cameg.de.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, place of work, or the alleged infringement.

The supervisory authority responsible for our business is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht). Information and contact details are available at:
